At DuBois Granite & Quartz, we understand that selecting your perfect countertop is a big decision, and placing your order marks the beginning of an exciting process. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what happens next:
🧾Step 1: Order Material
We don’t waste any time getting your material ready to go. If we don’t have your stone selection onsite, we will contact our supplier the same day as your order to ensure your stone’s prompt delivery and guaranteed price.
📏Step 2: Templating Appointment
Within a few days of placing your order, our team will reach out to schedule a templating appointment. During this visit, our specialist will take precise digital measurements of your space. This ensures your countertop fits flawlessly — every curve, corner, and cutout is accounted for.
Remember: All cabinetry needs to be in place and old countertops need to be removed before templating for the most accurate fit!*
🖥️Step 2: Final CAD Review & Adjustments
Our CAD designer uses your template to generate a CAD drawing (a computer-aided design). We use this to double-check dimensions, layout preferences, and seam placement. If any changes are needed — such as updates to the sink model or tweaks to the island size — this is the time to make them.
🪨Step 3: Layout Approval
We will lay out your kitchen on your slab using the exact measurements. This will allow you to see veining or patterns, and review how the slabs will be cut and aligned. We wait for your approval on the final layout before the first cut is made.
🪚Step 4: Fabrication Begins
Once everything is confirmed, your slab moves into our state-of-the-art fabrication shop. Our team cuts, polishes, and finishes your countertop with precision and care. This phase typically takes 10 business days, depending on the material and job complexity.
🛻Step 5: Installation Day
Finally, the big day arrives! Our experienced installation team will carefully deliver and install your new countertops with precision and care. Most residential installations are completed in just a few hours.
